Wendy joined Burness in June 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. Before coming to Burness, she was Controller of a Rockville, Maryland-based company and worked for Andersen Consulting, where she developed financial systems for the health care, telecommunications, and manufacturing industries. She started her career as an accountant.

A native of Potomac, Maryland, Wendy received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her M.B.A. from the University of Maryland. She met her husband, Kyle, while working in Lausanne, Switzerland. She has three children: Adam, Bryan, and Lauren. Wendy enjoys attending her children's soccer, baseball, and basketball games, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
