Kay Campbell

Senior Associate for Health Policy

Kay came to Burness in 2008 from Ogilvy Public Relations, where she was an account director in their social marketing practice. There, she helped manage campaigns on behalf of the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development, including the National Children's Study, as well as the Department of Health and Human Services' Pandemic Preparedness campaign.

As a senior associate on the Health Policy team at Burness, Kay provides communications and media support for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the journal Health Affairs, two National Children's Study sites, and the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Before Ogilvy, Kay helped develop and promote award-winning materials on behalf of the National Cancer Institute as a health communications specialist at NOVA Research Company in Bethesda, Maryland. She received a master's degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Allegheny College.

When she's not working at Burness, Kay can be found taking photographs and playing guitar at occasional open mics around town.
