Julie-Anne Savarit-Cosenza is a Junior Associate for the Global Team. She joined Burness in November 2010 and supports a variety of projects in global health, agriculture, forestry, and the environment.
Prior to Burness, Julie-Anne worked at the International Partnership for Microbicides, had an internship with the One Campaign, and founded The African Education Program to empower African youth through education, specifically in Zambia. Julie-Anne also did a home stay in Kafue, Zambia where she worked with youth, developed educational support programs and planned a benefit for 500 orphans.
Julie-Anne grew up outside of Philadelphia and graduated from the School of International Service at American University with a BA Magna Cum Laude in December 2008. During her studies, she did a semester abroad at the University of Cape Town. Julie-Anne is a native English and French speaker, proficient in Spanish, and has basic Italian and Afrikaans. In her free time, Julie-Anne enjoys exploring ethnic food, watching movies and playing soccer.
