Elizabeth joined Burness Communications in January 2007, and she helps researchers, advocates and community activists communicate effectively about their efforts to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic. She has more than 10 years of communications experience and has worked at Population Services International, the U.S. Department of State, APCO Worldwide and Widmeyer Communications.

Elizabeth grew up in Pennsylvania, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international politics from Penn State and earned a master of science in foreign service degree from Georgetown University. She lives in Maryland with her husband and daughters.
