Denise Young

Media Officer

Denise Young is media officer for Burness' European operations. Her work includes handling media relations for client events and activities in Europe, and coordinating media outreach for European clients.

Denise joined Burness Communications in February 2010, and prior to that had consulted with Burness since 2007. She speaks English, French and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and is a former journalist who worked in Asia, Europe and North America for Reuters and Agence France-Presse, specializing in finance, economics and development issues. She has also worked as a press officer at UNESCO's World Heritage Center.

Denise was born in Hong Kong and has a masters degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University.
