Andrew Peters joined Burness Communications in July 2009 as a project coordinator on the Public Policy team. He works primarily on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Connect Project, an effort to help grantees of the Foundation build relationships with Members of Congress and other policymakers.

Prior to Burness, Andrew worked in the Government Relations department at Carnegie Mellon University, assisting with major events and working on community relations. Additionally, Andrew interned in the Press Office of Sen. John Kerry and at The Heinz Endowments in Pittsburgh, PA, where he wrote a feature story for the Endowments' magazine and provided communications support.

Andrew graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor's degree in Ethics, History, and Public Policy.
