  • Preparation: Controlling the Interview
  • Participants break into two groups to practice messaging and interviewing skills in two one-on-one interviews with a “reporter”; interviews are taped for group feedback

    A primer on the most effective ways to engage different audiences online and the rules of the online road

    Practice message on a talk show with a host and antagonist

    Practice how to deliver messages in a three-minute meeting with a “senator”

    Practice being memorable in one of the most common settings to make connections with funders, policymakers, stakeholders and the media
