Established in 2008, African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) is a project of the Gender & Diversity Program of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). It was launched following a successful three-year pilot program in East Africa with support from the Rockefeller Foundation from 2005-2008.
AWARD offers tailored, two-year fellowships designed to fast-track the careers of African women scientists and professionals delivering pro-poor agricultural research and development that benefits rural communities, especially women.

The American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) is a professional, scientific and medical society established to bring together clinical and experimental scientists involved in the study of bone and mineral metabolism.
The ASBMR membership comprises basic research scientists, and clinical investigators in bone and mineral metabolism and related fields along with physicians and other healthcare practitioners. Current worldwide membership numbers approximately 4,000 with interests in biomechanics, cell biology, molecular biology, dentistry, developmental biology, endocrinology, epidemiology, internal medicine, metabolism, molecular genetics, nephrology, obstetrics-gynecology, orthopaedics, pathology, pharmacology, physiology, rheumatology and other research/clinical areas.

The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), founded in 1903, is a worldwide organization of scientists, clinicians, and program professionals whose mission is to promote global health through the prevention and control of infectious and other diseases that disproportionately afflict the global poor. Research, health care and education are the central activities of ASTMH members, whose work bridges basic laboratory research to international field work and clinics to countrywide programs.
The Global Health Innovative Technology Fund is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting the discovery and development of new health technologies, including drugs, vaccines and diagnosis, for infectious diseases prevalent in developing countries.
The first partnership of its kind in Japan, the GHIT Fund is public-private partnerships (PPP) established by the Government of Japan, a consortium of Japanese pharmaceutical companies, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The Global Health Service Corps (GHSC), headquartered in Boston, is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to promote and support new generations of US health professionals to serve as global health educators and work within countries facing critical human health care resource shortages. Our greater goal is, in collaboration with our partners, to create sustainable solutions to strengthen health systems.
In order to achieve this mission, we have been fortunate to partner with the Peace Corps to create a unique public-private partnership, the Global Health Service Partnership (GHSP).

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is the national organization representing local health departments. NACCHO supports efforts that protect and improve the health of all people and all communities by promoting national policy, developing resources and programs, seeking health equity, and supporting effective local public health practice and systems.
NACCHO is governed by a 27-member Board of Directors, comprising health officials from around the country elected by their peers, and including ex officio members representing the National Association of Counties, of which NACCHO is an affiliate, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
The Society of General Internal Medicine was founded in 1978 by a national group of academic general internists committed to promoting research and education aimed at improving healthcare for the whole patient. The organization has grown to nearly 3,000 members over three decades.
Drawing upon their expertise and diverse experiences, our members are from the United States and eleven other countries, SGIM members have become leaders in the specialty of internal medicine. The Society is dedicated to ensuring that all adults receive high quality health care in the 21st century.
